Circuit Solar Delivery Checklist
At Circuit Solar, we strive to ensure that every delivery is punctual, complete, and free from damage. However, despite our efforts, damage may occur during transit. You can assist in mitigating the impact of such occurrences by utilizing our Delivery Checklist.
Important Exception
Customer pickups are exempt from this delivery policy. Once items are collected by the customer, the responsibility for the materials and their condition transfers to the customer.
For all other deliveries, the following applies:
Damages and Shortages
In the event of damage or shortage in an order, it is imperative to take immediate action by documenting the damage or shortage on the delivery receipt.
Failure to notate damages on the delivery receipt will hinder Circuit Solar’s ability to file a claim with the carrier on your behalf. By signing the delivery receipt, you acknowledge assuming responsibility for the materials in their current condition, which may include damages, shortages, or incorrect items.
Recommended Practices for Receiving Shipments
- Photograph the pallets as they are unloaded from the truck.
- Inspect the pallet thoroughly, focusing on:
Panels
- Are any panels missing?
- Are there damages to the pallet feet or visible packaging issues (e.g., dents or punctures)?
- Unwrap and inspect as many panels as possible for damage, including checking for broken corner clips or signs of imbalance.
- Ensure both the top and bottom panels are intact and free from visible glass shards.
- If damage is found, note it on the delivery receipt before signing and take photos of each damaged panel with serial numbers.
Rails
- Are any rails missing?
- Are rail ends damaged or bent?
- Is the wrapping or plastic torn?
- Document and photograph any issues before signing the delivery receipt.
Other Items/Pallets
- Retrieve the packing slip and perform a quick inventory to confirm:
- Correct quantities
- Matching item numbers
- For multiple shipments, cross-reference the tracking numbers from the shipped order confirmation email with associated products.
If receiving packages via FedEx, Purolator, UPS, or other couriers, verify the tracking numbers online under “multiple shipments” or contact us at orders@circuitsolar.com or 1-877-352-5396 for assistance.
Reporting Damages by Courier
Customers must report courier-related damage or shortages within 7 days of delivery to remain eligible for a claim. This allows us to file claims with the carrier and promptly issue a replacement or refund.
- Mark the delivery receipt as “damaged” or “short” while the driver is present.
- Capture photos of each damaged item and their serial numbers.
- Notify our Returns team at customercare@circuitsolar.com or call 1-877-352-5396 immediately.
- Damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery to qualify for a warranty replacement or refund.
Important Notes
- Circuit Solar is not responsible for issuing replacements or refunds for items if damages are reported after the 7-day period. Strict adherence to this timeframe ensures we can assist you effectively.
- Circuit Solar will issue only one warranty replacement shipment per claim. If the replacement shipment is also lost, damaged, or incorrect, Circuit Solar will not issue further replacements or refunds, and we will no longer be responsible for fulfilling the order again.
