About Circuit Solar

Powering Canada’s Solar Future

Circuit Solar is a Canadian‑owned solar equipment distributor and brand group serving contractors, installers, developers, and everyday Canadians. We make it simple to source dependable components and build high‑performing solar systems—from single off‑grid cabins to multi‑site commercial projects.

Our story

A Canadian story rooted in remote power, monitoring, and hands‑on field work—now serving projects coast to coast. The through‑line has always been practical engineering: specify equipment that lasts in Canadian conditions, document it clearly, and support people in the field.

Northwest SCADA begins.

We started life as Northwest SCADA in Lytton, BC, distributing and integrating remote monitoring solutions for off‑grid and industrial sites. Our early work revolved around SCADA, PLC/HMI, and telemetry for pumps, solar‑powered communications, environmental monitoring, and small utility assets in rugged locations. To keep systems online, we paired low‑power RTUs, reliable solar‑charged battery banks, and proven instrumentation with practical enclosure and wiring standards. Those projects built relationships with contractors, municipalities, and independent power producers—and they shaped our approach to product selection and support.

Weather expertise expands.

We began supplying RainWise weather stations and accessories, widening our focus from controls to environmental sensing. Accurate wind, precipitation, and irradiance data helped our customers site arrays, protect assets, and verify system performance. We integrated stations with data loggers and RTUs for remote sites, laying the groundwork for what became the Circuit Weather product stream.

New Name, New Brand, Same Trusted Expertise.

To reflect our growth and to simplify how customers work with us, we re‑organized under the Circuit name with four focused brands:
Circuit Solar — Canadian distributor for solar modules, inverters, energy storage, racking, and BOS, plus complete off‑grid and hybrid kits.
Circuit Weather — practical, installer‑friendly meteorological hardware and accessories for solar, agriculture, and industrial monitoring.
Circuit Sensors — precision current transformers and sensors for accurate metering, diagnostics, and energy management.
Circuit SCADA — remote monitoring and control hardware built for low‑power, off‑grid, and hard‑to‑reach sites.

National fulfillment & partner support.

Today, Circuit Solar operates with what we consider Canada’s largest in‑stock solar inventory, spanning thousands of SKUs across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. From high‑efficiency solar modules to string, hybrid, and microinverters, lithium energy storage, roof and ground racking, and a deep bench of balance‑of‑system components (connectors, combiners, disconnects, breakers/fuses, wire, enclosures, metering), we keep the full bill of materials available so crews can standardize specs, reduce substitutions, and keep schedules on track.

With warehouses in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Stratford, and Dartmouth and fast nationwide shipping, orders are packed installer‑ready with careful palletization and clear documentation. Daily inventory syncs, transparent lead times, and practical alternates keep projects moving—whether it’s a single replacement inverter or a multi‑site rollout.

Who we are

Circuit Solar is a Canadian solar equipment distributor built by people who have spent years in the field. Our team blends backgrounds in electrical supply, solar design, SCADA/telemetry, and logistics, so we don’t just ship boxes—we help you choose the right ones. Expect clear answers, fast fulfillment, and documentation that makes inspections and installs go smoothly.

We support installers, EPCs, project developers, facility managers, and DIY/off‑grid owners. For professionals, we focus on repeatable assortments, interchange guidance between manufacturers, and dealer programs that reduce quoting time. For homeowners and cabin owners, we provide honest, step‑by‑step guidance on pairing modules, inverters, charge controllers, batteries, racking, combiners, wiring, and protection to meet code and perform in Canadian weather.

Our promise is practical: spec reliable gear, state real lead times, ship carefully, and stand behind the outcome.

What we offer

Solar modules. We stock a curated range of monofacial and bifacial panels from bankable manufacturers, balancing wattage, dimensions, and snow‑load ratings to suit residential rooftops, ground mounts, and commercial arrays.

Inverters & power electronics. From microinverters and string inverters to hybrid and off‑grid systems, we carry hardware that pairs well with Canadian utilities and inspection requirements. We help you select proper stringing, optimizers, rapid‑shutdown options, and monitoring to fit the site.

Energy storage. We offer lithium‑ion and advanced lead‑acid solutions with appropriate BMS/inverter compatibility, cold‑weather considerations, and safe mounting/enclosure options for cabins, cottages, and backup power.

Racking & mounts. Roof, ground, and specialty mounting systems selected for snow, wind, and corrosion resistance—with the rails, clamps, and roof attachments that make for clean, code‑compliant installs.

Balance of system (BOS). The practical parts that keep projects moving: charge controllers, combiners, disconnects, breakers/fuses, conduit and cable, MC4/terminals, enclosures, metering, and monitoring. We emphasize parts that are easy to source again and again so maintenance is straightforward.

EV charging. Residential and light‑commercial EVSE with accessories and load‑management options for panel‑limited homes and small businesses.

Monitoring, weather & SCADA. For customers who need reliable data, Circuit Weather and Circuit SCADA provide weather stations, current sensors, and low‑power RTUs that integrate neatly with solar systems for performance verification and remote operations.

Selected brands. We routinely supply products from top solar and electrical manufacturers known for Canadian availability and support. Ask our team for the latest line card and lead times.

How we work

Quality first. We prioritize equipment with strong field performance in Canada—robust snow‑load ratings, reliable electronics, and clear documentation. If we wouldn’t install it ourselves, we don’t list it.

Transparent sourcing. You get accurate specifications, compatible accessories, and honest lead times. When substitutions make sense, we’ll outline trade‑offs so you can keep your schedule without surprises.

Project support. Our team helps with BOM checks, stringing/voltage reviews, mounting selections, wiring/protection, and commissioning/monitoring setup. After the sale, we assist with troubleshooting and manufacturer warranty processes.

Sustainability. Our contribution is practical: help more Canadians adopt durable, right‑sized solar so systems last longer, perform better, and reduce lifecycle waste.
