Cold-Weather Performance
Panels like the cold.
Batteries don’t.
A module rated 500 W at 25 °C makes more than that at −20 °C — the temperature
coefficient runs in your favour all winter. Lithium is the opposite: most cells
won’t take a charge below freezing without heating. Both numbers are on every
product page, and they’re the two that decide whether the system works in February.
