Sensors & Options
Global Irradiance
The irradiance sensor is adjustable and can be set to provide global irradiance.
Plane-of-Array Irradiance
A separate plane-of-array sensor is supplied with a mounting bracket to attach to the side of the PV panel.
Back-of-Module Temperature
These sensors are attached to the back of the PV panel using thermal conductive adhesive tape. They provide accurate panel temperatures, an important parameter for efficiency monitoring. One sensor is shipped with each system. The PVMet 330 supports two sensors if desired.
Ambient Air Temperature
The ambient air temperature sensor is housed in a passive solar shield for increased accuracy.
Wind Speed and Direction
A mini-aervane anemometer provides both wind speed and wind direction information.
Relative Humidity Sensor
Includes a built-in relative humidity sensor.
Barometric Pressure Sensor
Includes a built-in barometric pressure sensor.
Rain Gauge Sensor
The RainWise Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge has an extra-large 8” diameter collector that meets the NWS (US) specifications for statistical accuracy. Every tip of the bucket is hand calibrated to count one-hundredth of an inch of rainfall.
