Our Journey

Northwest SCADA Begins – Circuit Solar’s story started in Northwest SCADA, founded in Lytton, British Columbia. The company originally focused on integrating solar power, remote monitoring, and SCADA systems for off-grid and industrial applications across Western Canada.

Expanding Into Renewable Energy – As demand for reliable off-grid power systems continued to grow, Northwest SCADA expanded beyond monitoring and controls into renewable energy equipment and custom energy solutions. The business began building relationships with contractors, installers, and remote industrial operators throughout Canada.

Supporting Remote & Off-Grid Projects – During a period of rapid growth in remote infrastructure and energy independence projects, the company increased its focus on solar distribution, system design support, and nationwide equipment sourcing for residential and commercial applications.

Building a National Supply Network – Recognizing major gaps in Canada’s solar supply chain, the company began developing a more scalable distribution model with live inventory systems, multi-warehouse logistics, and direct supplier partnerships to improve availability and delivery times.

Rebranding to Circuit Solar – Northwest SCADA officially evolved into Circuit Solar, alongside the launch of the broader Circuit ecosystem including Circuit Sensors, Circuit Weather, and Circuit SCADA. The rebrand reflected a larger vision focused on renewable energy distribution, monitoring technology, and intelligent infrastructure.

Nationwide Growth – Circuit Solar rapidly expanded its Canadian warehouse network and product catalog, offering thousands of solar and energy products with real-time inventory synchronization across multiple provinces. The company continued scaling its e-commerce platform while supporting homeowners, contractors, and commercial energy projects coast to coast.

One of Canada’s Largest Solar Equipment Suppliers – With warehouses operating across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, Circuit Solar became recognized as one of Canada’s fastest-growing solar equipment suppliers. The company expanded into energy storage, EV charging, monitoring systems, and commercial-scale renewable energy solutions.

Moving to Red Deer, Alberta – In 2026, Circuit Solar opened its new Red Deer, Alberta location — marking the company’s transition from a remote-first operation into a full showroom, warehouse, and head office experience. The new facility represents a major milestone in the company’s growth, bringing together customer support, product demonstrations, local pickup, logistics, and expanded warehouse operations under one roof as Circuit Solar continues building Canada’s future in renewable energy.
